EverQuest
In recent memory April Fool's Day has been a gag the developers have played, obviously. Last year in EQ1 all the player characters and non-player characters (mobs too) were all stick figures for a day.

Happy April Fool's Day (don't take any wooden gold pieces!) and Blessed Bristlebane Day! Today the Trickster in everyone gets to come out for a little fun, and the dev's have gotten in on the act...
2008
Bristlebane's Day 2008 is here! This holiday is scheduled for 3/27/08 to 4/2/08, with special events on April 1.
This year there are jesters, musicians and casters in all the cities playing for tips and amazing the crowds! Also, a crazy halfling named Blat Berisen can be found just outside of any of the five cities. He needs your help to stop the voices and avoid being abducted again!

eq2players has announced that GU34 will include a new character class that starts in Haven, the Archaeologist.
