EverQuest II Allakhazam is proud to announce our first IRC Developer Chat. Join us on Tuesday, June 12th @ 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time for an exciting chat about Neriak, the Arasai and the future of EverQuest II. During the next week you'll have the opportunity to post questions that you would like asked in this thread. Please make sure to include your character name, server and make sure to keep your questions tailored to the live game (very few Rise of Kunark questions will be accepted this time around). This is pretty cool. As a new player to EQ2 and a vet from EQ1 The only question I would like to ask is there more plans for more EQ1 lore and placed being added to EQ2? Personally I love revisiting the new versions of places I spent over 5 years wandering around in.

My questions would be:
- can we expect sometime more video for the game? the current opening video is a nice one and i would like to see some other as well.
- what measures will be taken against the spammers? One day had 9 spam tells, all of which i have reported but since I have been in a group I do not have always the time to petition as well.
- some time ago when there were an update sooner or later i could read in the update notes what have been fixes. Nowadays there are only a few update notes for the fixes. Can we have the previous system back?

About RoK expansion(I know very small number of RoK regarding questions can be accepted but,, just can't tolerate my curiosity, so,,,) :

1. When will the official RoK website be revamped?

2. What can we expect to see in RoK in terms of geographical /or new gameplay mechanic/method/fun instead of grinding to the death,,, :) I wanna know.
(4 example, with climb-able walls we were gain access to vertical gaming experience.)

As sick as they are of this on the official forums, I have to ask:

What are the plans going forward with regard to plat spam? Range filters? Whitelists? Civil litigation? Do they even really care or is there some crazy technological hurdle to stopping it that the rest of us can't see? Click and look at the timestamps. This is game impacting. If you can't explain your plans because you don't want to "clue in" the bad guys, at least explain why simple solutions above wouldn't work.

Care to elaborate on why we can't sell from multiple toons? It's sort of a pain that I have to transfer things to my one seller character in order to have everything I want on the market. Sometimes we even have to take on the risk of transferring the items through a "trusted" 3rd party. On top of that, I have to shift funds around from the broker-enabled toon whenever one of the alts needs to purchase something. Thanks.

I know that it was said that there would be limited questions taken for RoK but I would really like to know what races will be able to start in the new area, will it be all nutrel races or just the new race?

2 little art questions:
1.Are there any plans to make bruiser style more.. different to monks? at the moment most special brawler equipment fits more to monks(wu's fighting gear for example)

2.New animations? for example it would be great if a wis line swashbuckler would fight diferent than a warrior using 1 handed sword or generaly more animations to combat arts.

I would like to ask if any special attention or treament will be given to older zones. Since EOF they have taken difference approaches to how they design and create zones, are there plans to revamp any old world zones?

I would also like to ask if they have considered enhancing weather effects in the game. I think weather adds so much to a game, especially a good weather system that offers variety. Would love to see more weather effects being developed for the game to add immersion and atmosphere.

But seriously.. I just have a few questions.

1. There's a big question that has been killing threads on the lore boards forever now. People are taking recently-added info from EQ1 and applying it to solving EQ2 mysteries. Since these things weren't added until after Planes of Power, many assume they do not pertain to EQ2.. even though according to lore, they existed before the timeline split and should exist in EQ2 from a lore standpoint. I guess the question is this: Even for new information, if it speaks about an occurance prior to planes of power and the timeline spit, is it safe to assume that it is intended to make sense and be consistant between the two? Are the lore teams working together to make it all fit, or are you working independantly for the sake of freedom? Some big points of interest with this are Katta Castrum and the Gates/Omens happenings. They have supposedly been around for a very long time, but their being recently unearthed has caused them to be discluded entirely when it comes to lore on EQ2.

2. Are there any plans for new shield graphics for alot of the T6 and lower shields? I have apparently had the same shield for 40 levels now, not changing in look at all.

3. There are many unanswered questions in the EQ2 world involving lore and events. How many of these questions are still open for solving in our current game world and just hidden well? I know some questions aren't meant to be solved right away and information is left out to keep us waiting, but how many mysteries are still solvable but perhaps forgotten?

4. Are riftseekers involved with The Void at all? There are a few hints, but no solid evidence.


As for other questions, they are evading me at the moment. The rest in previous posts are great questions as well, so that's plenty for me.

How about asking if ( other that $30 a month for station access ) there any plany to add more slots on each server? I would be willing to pay a little extra per month for extra slots.

The just added 1 extra slot to regualr accounts and 2 to Access accounts.

Ooh, ooh. Can we have someone look into adding blue'ish/ice-tone skin tints and facial tattoos to the dwarf models for character creation? C'mon..not every Thurgadin dwarf had to be stuck on Velious when the 'clysms rocked Norrath.

OK, so that's more of a wishlist thing than a question, but still...COME ON!

one more question:
who is deciding what will be fixed next? I just checked GU 36 preview and still nothing about macro system. Can not use macros to use or equip a tinkered item because the macro first tries to use/equip the ones that are in my bank even if i am far far away from my city....
I have /bug-ged it a few times already and kept hoping for some fixes, but it is still not working as it should be. (alias there's no sense for the macro to look for the desired item in the bank then in the inventory then among the equipped items, should be just the reverse...)

But the whole reason to use a 1h weapon over a dual wield weapon placed in the primary slot was the difference in the damage ratio and stats - Am I missing something obvious here? < other than some minor 1h wep nerfing for new RoK AA lines?

There was a EQ1 GM event on Brell (1st Befallen revamp) that led a bunch of players down to Neriak 3rd gate. Queen Cristanos of Thex walked out and stood on the steps of the library and gave a short speech about the impending war with Lanny'T and a few other lore related topics. What was funny, and typical of MMOG's in general - a few people tried to run up the steps to hit/hug/curse/bow to the queen and she would force shock them across the zone. Nothing more funny than watching gnome footballs sailing out of the courtyard and into the cavern walls.
