Shiv is an ability that was added to the rogue's arsenal in TBC, and is considered a pvp ability.

Details
An instant attack that makes you hit the target with your off hand weapon. It deals off hand weapon damage and automatically applies the poison on it. Awards 1 combo points.
Usage Requirements
- Energy Cost = ((Off Hand Weapon Speed X 10) + 20)
- Instant Cast
- 5 yard range
Limitations
- Despite it's low Energy Cost, Shiv is a poor damage dealing ability because it has no damage bonus and deals the already lowered off hand damage. It is considered a poor use of energy and poor combo builder for dps and is used for the auto poison application feature only.
