The lift has three stops: The ground floor (where the tunnel to the Timorous Maw and Faydedar Watch (Docks) can be found, the mid-level (with a griffon station and one of the gondolas), and the upper-most level (where the main city entrance from the beach outpost can be found).
Sometimes the best way to get from where you are to where you need to go is to jump. As Sarnak are capable of prodigious leaps impossible for other races (except the Fae and Arasai) this is not really viewed as a problem by the inhabitants.
